What do eat when you are sick?

Had this thought this morning...
What if I got sick...not that I am or want to be? How would this affect my MFP. There is no way to eat up all the calories...so what would you eat that you could keep down?

If I'm just a little sick - maybe some french fries and a vanilla shake.
If i'm sick - like a nasty flu sick - I'll have a large pizza.0 -
I hardly ever get sick. If i had a cold, I would probably still be able to eat. I just wouldn't be tempted to eat junk.
In the past whenever I felt nauseous I would eat fruit or yougurt to feel better.0 -
When I'm sick I tend to have a pitty party for myself; this normally entails sulking around the house in my PJ's, eating lots of ice cream.0

Last month when I got sick I literally lived on saltine crackers and toast for like 3 days lol0

Ice cream and dairy would be the worst when you sick as in cold and flu type sick, just makes you more congested and does nothing as far as healing nutrients.
I would suggest (and I do this an it's great) load up on immune boosting foods. ****ake mushrooms are fantastic, also organic garlic. I usually make like a clear soup, stock from fresh veggies, then load it with fresh chillies garlic and ****ake and some baby spinach. Broccoli is also a by of a wonder food as far as nutrients go and a good source of calcium if your trying to avoid dairy when your sick ( I know for me dairy just makes me twice as bad when I'm sick and I'm not lactose intolerant or anything)0 -
chicken and stars. screw the tracking. Im able to eat soup and that's it.0

I jump on any excuse I can to just live off ginger ale and toast for a day or two.

I would probably consist of ginger ale (it's the only time I drink it), campbells chicken noodle soup, saltines and if I'm nausious, then popcorn (I don't know why popcorn, but it always works for me).0

Ramen and Toast0

Depends on the illness. Thank God I don't get sick often. But, If I do it is usually comfort foods. So, good thing I don't get sick often.0

I don't worry about calories when I am sick. I eat when I am hungry. And eat what makes me feel better, soup and crackers, fruit. Stay away from dairy it only produces more phlegm. Stay hydrated. And eat what you want within moderation of course.0

If you're throwing up, you don't eat until it stops. And then you eat the BRAT diet, just like you would if you weren't dieting.
If you're sick, it's more important to take care of that than to worry about dieting.0 -
I've had the flu for the last 4 days. It's been Gatorade, ginger ale, graham crackers and bananas. Yesterday, my husband made french toast so I ate that. Really, the only things I can keep down are starchy. The thought of eating mushrooms, garlic and broccoli or whatever one poster said to eat makes me want to puke- ugh! I am not tracking. Why bother when I'm sick?0

I don't have any stomach issues, but I've been sick for the past couple of days. That being said, I've been in bed eating everything I can get my hands on0
