I'm from Brazil and I heard this word a lot here, but when I try to find something on the internet, I have no answers what is this type of workout / diet.

Could someone clarify what It mean?

It's a learn to run program that has you learning to run for 30 minutes, presumably for 5 kilometers.

It's starts with a walk / run mix and slowly increases your run time.

It stands for Couch to 5K, there are various different versions, and you can download apps for your phone/mp3 player.

It's a running program developed to help get you from the couch (C) to (2) running 5k (5K)

(From UK) there is a free download of the podcasts which take you through 9 weeks of running 3 times per week. Always with a walk to warm up and cool down. Music is played and "Laura" guides you through when to walk and when to run, and how far you have gone etc.
Week 1 starts with just a 60 second run followed by walking and repeated I think 8 times. This builds each week so week 2 you do 90 second run, week 3 3 mins and so on.
At week 5 the durations start building much quicker, but the body is ready for it (whether your mind is or not!)
By week 9 you can jog for a solid 30 mins. (You may not be covering a 5k distance, but 30mins solid jogging is still a good result!)
  • You can find the podcasts here
