So last night I woke up at 1am, for some reason thinking it was 6am. I did my normal routine, went the bathroom and jumped on the scale. 184.6....ergh o well didn't loose what I hoped for the week.... Well then I realized what time it was and went back to bed, woke up at 6am. Jumped on the scale (did not go to the bathroom), 183.9. I understand it very well could be water weight but its still weight when you weigh yourself in the morning. (its a routine for me to weigh my self every morning)
So the difference of an additional 5 hours sleep was .7 pounds.
Just thought this was interesting and thought I would share.

not that it's not true, because it very clearly is important...that .7 lbs could well have been the urine0

I don't think so because I pissed before I weighed myself the first time, and did not the second time.0 -
Get more sleep, lose more fat:

I'm sure that when studies talk about the effect of sleep deprivation on weight loss that's not what they mean. Body weight undergoes normal daily fluctuations related to water intake, and as others have pointed out, merely voiding urine can lower one's temporary weight.0

You may also have lost some fluid in the form of sweat while you slept. And sometimes scales fluctuate a bit just to mess with us. LOL Not that sleep isn't important, it definitely is.0

I've had days where I did everything right and woken up at a higher weight, due to no restful sleep that night. Done everything the same and got a good night of rest, I'll lose! I can stall out completely on weight loss when suffering a bout of insomnia!0
