and my journey has began..

Hi everyone, I joined today. I also began my journey to lose 20lbs today by starting a low carb diet.

It has been about 5 years since I was last happy with my weight. Since then I have tried and failed to lose weight so many times.

I have tried eating really healthily, counting calories, exercising lots, portion control, cutting out sugar, fasting.. I would lose a few pounds but then put them straight back on again. I know how to eat healthily but get addicted to sugar and eat too big portions. I hope that low carb/keto will help me to establish good eating habits and lose the weight once and for all. I am determined to do this!

I have struggled with emotional eating and binge/compulsive eating in the past, and feel like I am finally getting over this, though I do have a relapse every now and then.

I have also been an on and off smoker for the last few years and every time I quit I gain weight and binge. It has been a month since my last smoke and I hope to remain smoke free this time :)
