Soo....

Recently, I've been eating much better, by including less fat and more protein in my diet, but my sugar levels are ALWAYS over.

Can sugar limit my weightloss, and if so, what can I do to reduce the amount of sugar I eat??

PS. I'm not cutting out honey in my oatmeal, because without it, the oatmeal tastes horrible. Also, Jacket potato and baked beans are the best option in the canteen.

Try to limit the amount of fruit you eat, as they have more sugar than vegetables. More high fiber content fruits are also a good choice (like apples and pears instead of grapes and bananas). Eliminate processed foods as much as possible, they are always hiding sugars in those foods for no good reason as sugar, corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. Otherwise, it's bye bye foods you enjoy. I don't advise that, but if you're really looking to limit the sugars...

Honestly if you say "I want to cut sugar.........EXCEPT this thing!" that's pretty self defeating.

As cliche as it sounds, I got used to black coffee and oatmeal with no sugar because you know what? The saying is true.......no food tastes as good as being thin feels. It's an entire lifestyle and mental change......I *deserve* to feel better and fuel my body better, and when I think about fueling my body to look good, extra sugars are junk aren't worth it.

When I started my weight loss, I cut all excess sugar. Period. I pay attention to my sugars from fruits just in that if it's high, I know I need to eat more veggies.

Weight loss is a huge mental thing, not just physical. If you THINK it's going to be awful it will be. When I have my oatmeal with blue berries I LOVE IT so much more than I ever loved oatmeal with brown sugar because I know what it's doing for me. If you believe you are losing out, you will create your own reality.
