HEART RATE MONITORS

I am looking into HRM. I am allergic to nickel, if I put a piece of say contact paper or clear nail polish on the back of the monitor if it will effect how it works?

    I would suggest contacting Garmin or Polar just to see what the composition of the chest strap electrodes is. I'm inclined to think anything between you and the electrode will interfere with its function.

    I was thinking the watch style not the chest strap style.
