I can't live without the burger in my mouth.0

Man, I'd rather have the fried Chick-fil-a sandwich as long as I'm paying to eat out.0

Eat both... then spend 4 hours on an elliptical!!!!! :bigsmile:0

Hey! That's NOT what I quoted! And now my Ron Swanson quote is useless. USELESS! The fact that you're mouth is stuffed with something you can't live without is only marginally compensatory.
And OP, me too.0 -
haha sorry, I ninja edited :P0

Me too. And damnit I already know which one is better for me, does not mean that is what I freaking want.0

I know! I just read a whole article about cutting 400 calories a day from your diet. Simple swaps, really.. but I was like a plain black coffee?? No I WANT my mocha. A granola bar instead of a bowl of granola.. made my tummy all sad :frown:0 -

This. I would eat nothing from fast food restaurants anymore, if I were you all... just saying.0 -
I can remember when I used to enjoy these several times a week. Starts singing "Bittersweet memories, that is all I'm taking with me"0

Oh my goodness I want a whopper reallll baddd0 -
Make a burger at home... grassfed beef, Ezekial bread buns, smoked sharp cheddar cheese (a small amount!), leaf lettuce, garden tomatoes (SOON!), a small portion of REAL! mayo, pickles and onions. Or Sauteed mushrooms, onions and swiss...
Baked fries if you really have to have them (I've gotten to where a tomato/ cucumber salad USUALLY works for a side.
It is WAY better than any restaurant burger... promise. Especially when my husband uses those hickory chips on the grill.... if I want to cut calories more, I'll use one of the Sara Lee sandwich thins.0 -
I really miss In-N-Out and all its meaty goodness.
Take that as you may.0 -
I hear ya. I wouldn't choose the double cheese burger with sauce, but when I want a burger, I will choose a single with lettuce and tomato! In the "choose this, not that" universe, what makes them thing that chicken=beef? I'd rather have a small beef than no beef. When my skinny hubby is eating his big Value Meal, I order a kiddy meal. Now they come with about 10 french fries, and apple slices. If you throw out half of the bun, and get coffee instead of soda, it doesn't torpedo your calorie count for the day.0

Her original quote had to do with bacon and eggs. So of course, I thought...

Sure you can be the only one. Everybody else is a pinnacle of self control. Don't know what your problem is.0

I haven't been on the forums much lately. How did I become a ninja? Not complaining cuz ninjas are super cool. Just curious.0 -
I admit that when I hit the 1 year mark on maintenance, I started to be a little less strict with "food swaps". I found that if I REALLY wanted one thing, something else wasn't going to cut it.
I also found that I a) no longer like ground beef at all. Give me the chicken sandwich. b) no longer like french fries and c) find cakes with frosting to be way too sweet now.
It's a bummer how your body adjusts to the good foods and the bad foods? Well, they aren't good anymore.LOL

Is considering a trip to Vegas for an "In and Out" burger.0

Have 2 original 70 cal Boca burgers on a Healthy Life 80 calorie bun, with 2 2% Kraft slices of cheese (45 cal ea) that is only 310 calories. If you add ketchup and Miracle Whip that's another 50, unless you use light Miracle Whip. That is normally what I do when my hubby has a taste for burgers. Yummm!0

BAAAAAHAHAHA Thanks.0 -
The whole swap idea is really less effective when the burger is front and center and the chicken is in the back. It makes the burger look even more appealing than it was to begin with. Now I'm craving Five Guys.0

A month ago I would have been firmly in the camp of wanting the Double Double. However, DW & I have since cut out red meat entirely and are eating a lot of vegetarian meals. No one is more surprised than I at how much I have enjoyed it. I think that the technical term for what we are doing is "Flexitarian", but I wouldn't be surprised if we land in the Pescatarian or "whole hog" vegetarian camp (So to speak)
To each his own, though and I'm relatively certain that Chick-Fil-A mixes crack in with the breading on their chicken--It is the only fast food I have had any real craving for since we stopped eating at FF restaurants...0
