I wanted to make a chef salad today because I hard boiled a bunch of eggs. I am looking for a healthy/low calorie dressing! I know I can eat anything but I'd rather eat something healthy that isn't filled with crazy ingredients! A ranch recipe would be great for today or maybe a product they sell at the store. I have balsamic vinegar dressing but I don't think that would go great with a chef salad. Anyways anyone got any dressings that want to share? Thanks :)

I have two recipes I can give you....one for Ranch and one for honey mustard. Both are really good, if you're interested in either, message me and let me know! :) the Ranch is Low Fat Buttermilk and Greek Yogurt, the Honey Mustard is Olive Oil, Honey, Red Wine Vinegar, and Dijon Mustard w/ Chardonnay. I have to look at amounts though.

Healthier ranch - dry Hidden Valley packet mixed with low fat greek yogurt. Add a little milk to make it thinner.

Olive oil and lemon is decent with a chefs salad.

I use Paul Newman's Light Balsamic Vinaigrette. It really goes well on any salad. I also use hot sauce/salsa on most all salads when I want a change.
  • If you are interested in trying something asian inspired, buy Ikari Goma Dressing (a non-oil sesame dressing); it's 25 calories per 2TBSP. it's awesome with thinly sliced chicken, lettuce, shredded cabbage and topped with some glass noodles. Very light and refreshing.

I keep forgetting to try it, but I bought some of the spritzers of Ranch Salad dressing and they are really low in Cals AND you only put a few spritzes on your salad.

the spritzers are ridiculously good, really low in cal and they're so concentrated you only need a few sprays!

Simply Natural Roasted Garlic vinaigrette or their roasted red pepper vinaigrette! Soo tasty, and the garlic one is 50 cal per 2 TBSP and the red pepper I believe around 40 cal per 2 TBSP.
