Exercise for an ME sufferer

Hi, I'm 28 and suffer from ME so exercise for me is a HUGE problem. A quick summary : I can do a small amount of exercise in a day (if I take painkillers first) but I will suffer for it in about 18 hours. As in will need extra sleep (at least an extra 3 hours) and I will be in quite a bit of pain even with painkillers working.
Can anybody give me ideas / advice????? As I know diet alone will not help me achieve my goal.
