PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let your child's school know!!!

I have a student who just had an asthma attack and no one in the school had a clue he had asthma. It's not in any of his student files or notes from meetings. It's never been mentioned to anyone here. A half hour after his attack started, we got him home to his inhaler...we gave him a paper bag but that just made it worse for him.

When we got him home dad gave us an inhaler to bring back to school and showed us the one that my student uses "every morning".

Now, we know for him but I'm sure there are other kids in the school in the same situation.

So please, even if your child rarely has an attack and you don't want the school to have an inhaler on hand, please at least let the school know so they're aware that it's a possibility.
