Just curious if anyone else does this and am I harming myself possibly. When I work out at home, I do my workouts in my bare feet (im doing JM 30DS, NMTZ, starting Chalean Extreme soon). Anyone else?

  • I love being barefoot, I can grip the ground better. Probably goes back to my karate days. I did that for 11 years barefoot in class, and didn't mess up my feet. My kettlebell instructor makes us wear just socks in class (unless we have the special shoes).

I do this too! I live in an apartment with people right below me. I feel like if I am barefoot it makes less noise for those below me?? I could be wrong. Also, I just feel comfortable being barefoot :)

Interested in what others have to say....

I always put my shoes on. I never even thought of working out barefoot. I will try it though!

i wear shoes but thats because i have hard wood floors and i feel like i slide around. i dont think it matters if you are barefoot or not.

I highly recommend wearing sneakers when doing those type of workouts, your feet and legs really need the support. I also love to work out barefoot at home, but I ended up getting hurt, and found out that the lack of sneaks was the culprit.

I wear socks with little grippy things on em when I do yoga on the floor and I work barefoot on a mat. I have rotten knees so I always wear footwear to protect them
