Cholesterol?

Can someone please give me some science or evidence and point me in the right direction here.. Just like everything I know that there is good and bad cholesterol but how much should you get? I generally eat alot of eggs I love them they are low in carbs and high in protein but If I have more than one MFP says im over in cholesterol :-( Today I have had three.. One in the AM before my workout and two in the afternoon as a little snack .. whats up with that good or bad?
