Congrats again CP - brag away - I would.

My Aunt has something she calls an "empowerment bracelet". It's a charm bracelet she started when she lost her husband (and had to do so many things that she didn't have to do before) - she had it for things like fixing the dishwasher, driving to downtown Detroit, etc. I really liked this idea. I would like it to have yoga poses (arm balances make me feel empowered).

We found another lump on our cat :frown: He's going into the vet today. His last 2 or 3 were removed just last November. He's only 14. We also have two more due for their annual check ups. $$$

And - it's going to be hard to be positive today - I'm having my "annual" today.

And - my two favorite yoga teachers (other than my main teacher) are leaving their studios - I go to two other studios - and both the teachers I like at each of them are leaving. I'll find out what's happening to the Saturday teacher tomorrow. The one last night is moving her practice to her home (after I bought a 5 class pass :grumble: ) - her home is much further away.

So walking it is today. Maybe a little yoga thrown in to lighten the spirit.

Empower yourself boogaloo!

Mary

This is what we call in my house a "low ebb". . .where you run into a streak of bad things. I hope the good luck tide comes back in quickly.

I hope kitty is OK, that is really hard. Also, I hear you about the heartbreak of losing teachers. I'm really selective in my choice of any classes, and the teacher makes a huge difference.

Today is Bikram most likely. I'm really low energy again, but I think I need to start pushing through it a little bit (within reason) otherwise, I'm afraid I'll just get stuck on the sofa permanently.

CP, brag all you want. 7mph is amazing to me, for any length of time.

    Take care, pebbs.:flowerforyou:

Had to post because I'm so excited. I just got my birthday gift from my husband. . .a Vita-Mix blender. (I'm such a kitchen equipment nerd) I will now subsist solely on smoothies. Right now I'm drinking a carrot orange ginger smoothie.

When I said "how did you know I wanted one?" He told me that when we were watching Iron Man on TV, I made an "ooooh" noise when Tony Stark made a green smoothie. And, in a movie where I guy makes an indestructable suit and flies around and fights for justice, I was jealous of his blender. :noway:

This is a pro-quality blender, so you can put in whole oranges (without the peel) whole apples and such. . .Now it will be no problem to eat my clean foods.

    Green smoothie boogaloo.:drinker:

CP, you are an inspiration! You rock! (Or maybe "You pebble!" I'm a dork.)

Mary, I went through a "low ebb" as V calls it over the last couple of months and things are starting to look up, so I hope they do for you too. (And maybe not take as long as mine did!). I hear ya about the annual. I haven't had my annual since Alex was born...3.5 years ago. I'm going in two weeks. :noway: Mine will be a little more in depth though.

V, cool birthday present! Send me some good smoothie ideas! I never think about them but I'd like to have them more often.

We did it. We signed up with an agency. I've been more at peace since we signed than I have been over the last 6 weeks.
Goals today: push ups, sit ups, squats. Cleaning, cooking before Alex's OT comes tonight. I'm not sure what other work out I will get int today. Had lunch at the Pastor's house so I can't log it. I will need to make sure cleaning makes up for it. I tried not to eat much, but I did have a little too much chocolate for dessert.
    I'd better get to it.

   You guys are awesome. Thanks for letting me feel empowered in public. I am trying to get better about actually recognizing my accomplishments and giving myself credit instead of downplaying and sweeping everything under the rug like I usually do. :flowerforyou:

Mary, sorry to hear about your kitty, and your yoga teachers leaving. Good luck staying positive. MM, I'm so glad that you signed and are feeling good about it. And V, have fun with your present.

I may not check in for a few days because my parents are visiting. I'll do pushups today, but I'm not sure what other exercise I'll be getting. Hopefully a few good walks.

    Long weekend boogaloo!
