    Yup.

Everyone has excuses. None of them matter if you really want to accomplish something.

Yes. Love it. I live by these quotes, because I'm a cornball. The background of my phone is a Jillian Michaels quote and I have a weight loss motivation board covered in these kind of quotes.

I was just saying on my wall that I think losing weight is more of a psychological game with yourself than anything. Our biggest obstacle is our own way of thinking. Once we accept that we can do this, we will be on that journey towards reaching our goals.

What do you all think is the biggest reason people don't believe they can do it? I'm just curious.

Well, then I suppose if I just quit telling myself that bull**** story about cancer and neuropathy making it almost impossible to walk it'll all just go away then, right?

    Harsh.....but true!

@ FitLink - I know life throws us some awful curve balls but once I get over the initial shock I've always tried to embrace new, different adjusted goals. Truly wishing you well

I guess my point was that what's standing in someone's way is sometimes a lot more than a "bull**** story" and it's one thing to say "I have been bull****ting myself" and quite another to say every goal that every person doesn't achieve is because of "bull**** stories." Sometimes you have no choice but to accept that some of the things you always wanted simply cannot be yours and adjust your expectations to something achievable for you as life is now. I have given up a LOT, and it wasn't because of some "bull**** story" it was because life swooped in and hit me broadside.
