Aussies: Mi Goreng (Indomie) - which version are you logging

So I have a pack of the Mi Goreng from Indo Mie (yummy!) and I scanned the barcode... only 210 cals.
Seriously?? I had always thought it was among the calorie-loaded food that exist in (yummy) bad food heaven. Haha.
Did notice there's some versions on the database that have 400ish cals listed, but those didn't come up with the barcode scan.
Opinions?
Cause if they're really only 210 cals, I can go back to 2-packs-in-a-hit sessions, hehehe...

I Googled it and it came up with 230 calories per 100g and a pack is 85g (which according to this is 390 cals) so they must count it as cooked weight?

Another site has the serving size as 40g so I think maybe they count the pack as two serves?0 -
I have a bunch of mi goreng in my cupboard and I was afraid to eat them cause I thought it was 400+ calories (which to me, is not worth it!)
I will have to revisit this as I'd love to eat them! The only downfall is the high sodium.0 -
Per Serving Per 100g
Energy 1620kJ (390Cal) 950kJ (230Cal)
Protein 8g 5g
Fat (total) 17g 10g
Fat (Saturated) 11g 6g
Carbohydrate 52g 30g
Sugars 8g 4g
Sodium 830 mg 490 mg
If each packet is 85 grams this confuses me???0 -
Just got mine out of the cupboard, its a 5pack. And the plain white ones.
Servings per package: 5
Serving size = 175gm
Per serve - 420cal
protein - 8.4g
Fat - 16.6
Carbs - 59g
Sodium - 820
I want to know if the 'serve' includes ALL the sauces/flavorings though.0 -
Yeah, I'm wondering if the serving's including flavouring too - cause 230cal seems way too low for something like this?
Hmm, maybe I'll turn a blind eye and eat them guilt-free once in a while, haha.0 -

230 cals is wrong.
I looked up my plain noodles (Changs long life). A 62.5gm serve is 219 cals, or 3.5 cals per gram.
Looking further on the Indo Mie packet, it specifies 'when prepared according to directions' - so the 175gm SERVE includes the seasonings (I don't read the directions any more, and that says put everything in), and is the cooked weight. The DRY weight per serve is 85gms and 390cals. 4.5 cals per gram.0 -

So, final verdict is just under 400 cal per pack?
hmm, I do have a 1700 limit, so I could theoretically still fit 2 packs in... :laugh:0
