So I have been very busy these last couple of weeks with University work and deadlines. I have been in the library almost all day, everyday 9am till about 7/8pm.

So I haven't had much, if any, time to exercise and I have been having meals at irregular times.

So my question to you guys is how do you guys cope when your busy? How do you find time to exercise and how do you make sure you eat right?

Thanks for the help

I look at exercise as if it is a doctors appointment or something in my schedule that I absolutely have to do. That way, I will not push it aside. Even if work or school is crazy busy, I say to myself, "Well, I have to hurry up and do this because I know that at 4-5pm (for example), I have to work out." I find that making time to exercise usually helps me think more clearly and deal with my other stressors anyway. Now, that is not to say that sometimes I simply CANNOT find the time at all because somedays that does happen. But for the most part, I try to find a way to work it in there somehow. Like I said, Im usually glad I did.

I joined MFP when I couldn't exercise. Just keep tracking calories.

The first 80-90% can come off just through tracking.

Pick some generally healthy foods which probably just come as easily as the effort to go out and get unhealthy foods.

If you plan the healthy foods you can get into a healthy pattern and the pounds will go all by itself.

    Cheers !

Plan ahead for everything. Make your meals easy to grab or just heat up. Make your snacks healthful and, again, easy. This might mean you'll have to spend an hour or two on a Sunday chopping and cooking, but at least you'll have it done all at once.

As far as exercise, this as where I began to slack hard because I was not making time. There were always papers to be written, things to read and tests to study for. You have to force yourself to sleep at regular hours and either wake up earlier in the morning to exercise, or fit it in where you can.

I know as a full-time student, I wasn't honestly being a student all day long. I did plenty of things (the internet, hung out BSing with people, went drinking on the weekends sometimes, ran off to the Keys far too many times, etc.) that I could have cut out in favor of a return to my healthier lifestyle, but I chose not to. I gained 15lb in school. Didn't lose it until I graduated. So, I'm suggesting that you be honest with yourself when you consider how you're managing your time.

Agree with the above, I forward plan EVERYTHING. How about making something that can keep for leftovers and freezing individual portions. Before you leave for the day you can take it out to defrost and know when you get home all you have to do is re-heat it.
