Hello All,

I love soup and having been trying to find a low calorie chicken broth based soup to help control my appetite. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Make your own. Saute a bunch of vegetables of your choice in a little olive oil. Onion, carrot, celery should be your base, then add whatever else you like. I like chopped zucchini in mine too. Then add a can of diced tomatoes and about 4-6 cups of broth (I use vegetable broth, you could use chicken if you rather). Add a couple cans of beans (I like 1 can each of garbanzo and kidney beans), simmer for about 15 minutes, and you have a ridiculously low calorie filling vegetable soup. Need more protein? Add some cooked shredded or diced chicken to the soup. Want some starch in there? Add a handful of pasta or noodles and simmer it in the soup until tender.
