This might sound silly to ask, but I'd like to ask those on here that care to pray for my little kitty, Oatmeal. She's about 2 years old, and she's been with us since she was so tiny. We have three cats altogether.

Oatmeal is such a Momma's girl. She stays by my side all of the time. If I leave my door closed at night she cries because she wants to sleep beside my pillow. She sits with me in the bathroom when I'm in the tub, and waits patiently when I'm in the shower. She did used to have a very bad case of separation anxiety but now it's not too too bad. She just loves her momma.

My cats are like my kids to me, and I wouldn't put one to sleep because of an illness that could be expensive. One of our other cats, mouse, has chronic gingitivis (he is a pure bred siamese, and this runs in his family line) so his medications are expensive and that was enough for us.

Until our little Oatmeal developed what was thought as a chronic respiratory virus. Treated for a bacterial infection, and nothing. Treated for a viral infection, nothing. Treated for a flea allergy, nothing. She is being tested for FeLV, or Feline Leukemia next week and I am hoping for a negative result. I don't know what is causing her chronic sneezing and being stuffed up and coughing, but I really hope that it isn't FeLV.

Anyway, keep her in your prayers. Also, if anyone has/had a cat with FeLV or FIV, any tips on helping her live the rest of her life comfortably would be appreciated.

And yes - she's a female orange cat. (I guess that's rare.)

Maybe not the right place for it... I couldn't think of where else to put it.

I know it is hard when you don't know what's wrong with your furry critter. It somewhat feels like you can't do anything. But it will all be ok. Also, she is a lovely cat and I love her name. I would love to keep her in my prayers

    God bless you :flowerforyou:
