Fat burning help :)

Hey,
Now I'm no novice to exercise.. I know cardio burns fat and I know it also reduces muscles.
I'm doing strength/resistance training 6 times a week and I try and swim at least twice a week for 30 mins.
I've lost 6 inches in 6 weeks but would like a little more.
What I want to know is what particular type of cardio is most effective? Should I do more cardio and reduce my strength?
Any advice is appreciated

How did you come to the conclusion that cardio reduces muscle?0

6 days a week of strength training is a bit frequent IMO.
I'd drop it to 3-4 and focus on working out harder so you're actually getting a real workout.
Interval training did wonders for me. Really upped my conditioning and was much more tolerable than just running on a treadmill for 30 minutes. I prefer hill sprints.0 -

It's what I've read repeatedly on forums.. Which is why I started strength training to make sure I was strong as well as skinny.
By all means correct me if I'm wrong0 -

You've heard right, but not to the extent it was probably stated.
You can be muscular and still run, the main thing is to not do hour long cardio sessions all the time, then clearly you're gonna have trouble gaining or maintaining muscle.
I prefer a 20 minute interval session of low intensity cardio anyday. It's fast, a lot more fun, and seemed to provide the same benefits.0 -

Thanksdo you mind me asking what exactly you do when you do your interval training?
