An interesting and almost un-motivating view on fitness

The interesting thing about a healthy life style and fitness / bodybuilding, is that i'll never be done! There will never be a point where i will be able to say, "right i've achieved what i want, i can do what i want now, eat what i want and not go the gym" I'll pretty much have to do this for the rest of my life. It's not a case of 'going on a diet' as that indicates that i will eventually come off it. So it's more like, 'changing your lifestyle' I guess it's this reason i'll need some constant motivation

I agree. Even when you get to your "goal" weight, you still need upkeep constantly. It can be pretty defeating if you let it be.
  • Would you say its a case of when your happy with what you look like, then you've given up?

To me, THIS is the motivating point. I am not "going on a diet" I am learning how to live healthily, so your right, there won't be a point when I'm done, but hopefully there will be a point when I'm happy and comfortable with the way I look and feel.

I mainly started this to learn how to eat properly, and that is something I hope never stops, and I never go back to what I used to eat. To me it is motivating to think that one day I can reach a weight I am happy with, and then keep at that weight
