Dislocated Elbow

Has anyone dislocated their elbow? It was popped back into place Sunday and I'm current in a splint with a doctor's appointment scheduled for next Monday. How long was it before you were able to start exercising again? I have a marathon in 20 or so days and hoping to still run it...
