New to this!

Okay I have done WW(pricey) and have lost weight however this site is SO amazing and I have been working on getting my self back since fertility medications I was taking have me 30lbs heavier than I was last year at this time... any ways just a little about me ;)

Now for the questions!

1. I am TRYING to follow the 1200 cal/day, however my cal intake was said to be higher? Which should I do?
- if its the higher one can I reset my diary thing?

2. I am doing Bob Harpers extreme, and other workouts with a lady that does bootcamp training, its not in the exersize selection, what should I put because its hardcore work out?

3. Should I eat back the cals I burned? I mean isint that why I am working out to burn them off? not keep them?

4. I am doing the GNC lean shakes and I was thinking of taking a water pill since I am drinking two meals a day???

5. ANY other advice is worth it, please!!

I have PCOS and weight is hard thing for me, I was also diagnosed as insulin resistant so I want to make sure I do not become diabetic later in life!!!!!

THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!!!!!

P.S I am addicted to aww-ing over the success stories I LOVE them, its such an inspiration!

I'm supposed to be 1200 a day too but my nutritionist told me I should eat 1350. I try not to go over 1400 and I'm doing well. As for MFP you can't adjust it manually. So I go over 1200 in my diary.

Can't answer your other questions but welcome to MFP!

You can setup manually, just go under Goals --> Change Goals and select Custom you can change it in there!

    1. 1200 is a minimum, you will most likely need a bit more than that.

    2. Get yourself a Heart Rate Monitor. That will tell you exactly how many Calories you have burned in your exercise.

    3. Yes yes yes. This is a "hot button issue" around here, but the answer is yes eat your exercise calories.

    4. Make sure you are eating a recovery shake/pudding/whatev within 30 min after working out.

Welcome and I wish you success!

Up at the top of the page where it says "food", click on that, and go to the search bar. type in what you ate and see if it pops up. If not go to the very bottom and it gives you an option to input that food. Same goes for exercise. ^^^
  • Thank you all! I am going to eat my cals then for sure, I mean who wouldnt right HAHA!
