Has anyone out there had bilateral bunion surgery at the same time??? if so how long were you really off your feet and how long before you could ride a road bike????

Hmm... my sister had bunion surgery but only on one foot. She was in a full on cast for I'd say about four weeks... then a detachable boot for about maybe another 3. She can walk on it fine now, she had the surgery over last Christmas break. Sorry if this wasn't any help! :[

I'm not sure how soon the Dr would like her to be riding a bike though, even after she's out of the cast. I can ask her for more details on things like that.

You are very brave for having both worked on at the same time! I hope you have a readily available butler type person at your side at all times, lol. She was bossing me around during the time she was staying with me after her surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I asked her a few questions but she must be in class right now and hasn't gotten back to me yet.
