Are you an only child, the eldest who got away with nothing, the "dreaded" (kidding) middle child or the spoiled baby of the family?

I am the baby of the family and got away with everything my older siblings never did. I am also the only one of us whose first name does not start with the letter P. Weird.

So where are you?

4 of 5, with a 5 year gap between my next oldest sibling and 2 year older then number 5. So I have been told I have traits of both the middle child (negotiator, peacemaker, Eddie Haskel) and a first child (responsible, caretaker, arrogant). I like to just call it being TK.

Spoiled baby of the family/ The good part is being spoiled the bad part is your family forgetting that you are no longer 5.

I'm number 5 of 6. we had 3 sets of kids in our family growing up - my Dad's 2 boys from his first marriage, my Mom's 2 kids from her first marriage - and then me and my younger brother from the two of them together. They used to joke about having "yours, mine, and ours" the 2 sets of kids from previous marriages are at least 11 yrs older than I am, so it kind of makes for a different generation, but we all have fun together - we're pretty spread out though, my oldest brother lives in NY state, my sister and I live in WA state (on opposite sides of the state) and the rest are in Montana.
  • Of my immediate family, I am the oldest and have one brother. Rather recently, I gained a step-family, however. With them came two step-sisters and a step-brother. I'm the middle one of all of them. I'm also the only redhead.

Immediate family...youngest of 3, father of the only boy in the family with our last name out of 15 Great-grandchildren. Our family can trace one side of our roots beyond King James I. The other side gets a bit lost in Scotland royalties.

My son has a bit undue pressure...LoL

1 of four. Me, 24, and three half-siblings. Two brothers aged 18 and 8, and a sister aged 15.

I'm the middle child with certain middle-child tendencies and a bunch of oldest-child habits... my elder sister moved out when I was 7, so it was me, my younger brother and our younger cousin (who hung around our house a LOT, and was practically a brother). I'm 32 almost 33, my sister is 43, my brother is 27 (28 this year), my cousin is 25.

I'm an only child and my husband is an only child so our kids have no Aunts or Uncles. It's a little strange considering my parents have multiple siblings and so does his.

I am both the only child and the baby.. I am my dad's only Child and the baby of my mom's children..

I was not the spoiled one.. My Sister and Brother would do something wrong and the parents automatically though I would do the same thing (example they co-signed for my brother a car -- he didn't make the payments -- So I had to buy my own car without their help --- They signed for my sister to get married at 17 -- It didn't work out --- so even if I would have wanted to get married that young they would have never signed for me...)

My sister and brother would be in a completely separate room and break something and I wanted to see them get into trouble.. Well some how it ended up that I broke whatever and I got into trouble (thanks sis and bro for gaining up on me like that all the time).. However i would always cry when they got into trouble so I guess it didn't make much difference..

I am sort of the middle child. I have an older brother and a twin sister, but I was born first. So, technically, I'm the middle child.

None of us were spoiled, but my sister was/is very emotionally needy, so she got more attention in that sense (and still does). She was very sensitive and very gullible. We could make her believe anything. And she also would take the blame for everything so that my brother and I wouldn't get in trouble, but my parents always saw through it.

My brother got away with more because he was a boy, not because he was the oldest. He got to date sooner, got a car sooner, was allowed to go on trips with his friends that my sister and I were never allowed to do. It was a safety issue with my parents.
