A former colleague is on this diet right now and I think it is not safe...effective, yes...but she can only consume 800 calories/day...I don't think she uses any kind of online tracker/support....I would stick with the MFP guidelines. They have worked great for me!0

The injections have been pulled off the market and deemed fraud in the US and Canada I believe. The drops, well you might as well use a drop of water. They have no proven effect. The only reason people lose weight is because they consume an unhealthy amount of calories. Most consume 500 cals a day. You will lose weight eating that much alone without using the hormones. Unhealthy and dangerous.0

I did the HCG diet last summer for about 4 weeks. I followed it to the letter and lost about 13 pounds and then stalled. I swear it screwed up my metabolism. I would never recommend it. I really wish I would have trusted my instincts and stayed away from it.0

Doesn't work any better than any other method of weight loss. My doctor had some of the nurses in her office try it, but it didn't help any more than her normal weight loss program. And it was expensive.0

Ugh...noooooooooo!! Scam diets won't make you healthy. Hard work, determination, and patience WILL. Run away, far away! Really.... Best wishes on your journey0

I tried it last year and nearly chewed off my arm on day 3. It was the exact same feeling as when I lived on 3 saltine crackers a day in high school. I guess it works if you want to go into anorexia, but otherwise, nope. I DO NOT recommend it! I did lose about 3 pounds in those 3 days, but they all came back and brought friends as soon as I ate something.0

A friend of mine says it messes up your adrenal glands and is very dangerous! She is one of those health food nuts. She says to just eat right and exercies and drink plently of water and the weight will be gone and never return.....remember it is a lifestyle change. Good luck! Blessings!0

HCG is Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin...a hormone secreted in pregnancy...it's what triggers off the 'positive' in a pregnancy test. I sure didn't see any weight drop off when my body was pregnant and I was full of it!
You'll alter the whole homeostasis of your body...and probably pass a pregnancy test lol x0 -
I was concidering doing HCG and my coworker was raving about how his wife has had so much success on it...until she started having health problems. Major health problems because of the HCG diet. Then I found out from another friend that their friend had used the HCG diet and had major complications which almost killed her. I might be a panzy and if so I don't care but I'm not going to risk my health on an "easier" way to lose weight. I'll lose it the old fashion way. But that's just me, you have to make your own choices and I wish you the best of luck no matter what you chose. The injections have been pulled off the market and deemed fraud in the US and Canada I believe. To this....The clinic's in Alaska must not have gotten the memo that the injections have been pulled off the market because I work less than a block away from an HCG clinic and there are three other locations within 200 miles.0 -
