Losing focus

I have to admit that after doing this weight loss gig for about 3 months now, I am starting to lose focus and I can see that my bad fatty foods are starting to creep in. I think I'm lacking motivation, even though I have 2 goals to get to, and one of those goals in in 3 weeks, but I just feel over the whole thing.

Is there any way to jazz it up, or incorporate a new exercise or anything to make this more fun? I know it's supposed to be hard work but does it have to be boring?

There are just some times that I can't be bothered cooking dinner and instead of heading to Subway I will go somewhere thats not overly healthy, but try to choose the healthy option, so I have been eating a lot of roast chicken lately.

Any advice wouldl be great!

Think about why you wanted to do it in the first place, and find an exercise that you like. I never wanted to go to the gym until I found zumba. It got me in the habit. Don't give up, you can do it!

Try out new routines (exercising can get boring and stale if you do the same things over and over - plus it ends up lowering your metabolism after a while). Also why not indulge from time to time in some fatty foods (not often though), and find healthier foods/snacks you enjoy more. I for one found a new one - apples and peanut butter (a high calorie snack that's great to keep you fairly full). I hope this advice helps, I know what you're going through, but eventually it just all turns into a habit.

Like with most things, a change of routine tends to get you back in the saddle. Try or eat different foods instead of cooking the same old meals (buy a cookbook if you must), change up your exercise routine whether a bit or completely. Buy some new workout clothes to motivate you to keep going. But make all the changes good ones, not ones you feel you have to because what you're doing now is making you yawn and stray. If you don't take any classes, take some if you have the time. Shake your world up.

Yeah, jazz up your routine by finding new exercises to do. Do Zumba, Tae Bo, step, etc. There is a lot of fun stuff to do.

Also, cook your proteins in bulk on the weekends and keep them in the fridge. Keep fresh & frozen veggies on hand. That way, when you come home and are tired, all you have to do is zap your protein in the microwave with the frozen veggie or toss the fresh veggies on a plate. I can prep my entire dinner in less than 10 minutes.

I go to the forum page and read all the success stories. Works for me. Usually they inspire and motivate me through a bad day.
