Healthcare Changes

Okay Okay....Healthcare changes are happening in 2013-2014. And my health insurance carrier and employer are demanding that I take a health inventory next week OR I get to pay 100/pay period extra to insure myself and family. That would jump the price to almost 700/mo.

What really has me very pissed off to holy $377 and back is that all the good work that I have done over the past 7 months WILL NOT SHOW UP ON THE HEALTH ASSESSMENT...Here's why

They will check my cholesterol, LDL, my height, weight, waist size, and calculate my BMI. And with this information they will tell me what insurance on my health will cost me and my family in the year 2013.

There will be no "good job", there will be no "stick with it", there will be no "if you get to a healthy BMI, your rates will go down". And there you have it. Another penalty for being overweight.

Is there anything on the "test" that says--She can walk up and down the stairs without breathing heavy. She can exercise for over an hour and still want more. She can walk 5 miles with minimal effort. She's dropped from a tight size 24 to a loose size 12. She has done this with the help and support of strangers and friends and her family. She has not quit one day since she started. No NO NO...

Okay...*********************END OF RANT*****************************

Do you think your numbers will actually make them enforce the $100? I think it sounds like the numbers might be better than you expect....

Nope I asked...the BMI is in the over category and it goes by the day you test...
