Was running half marathons at 6 ft 3 in and 180 lbs 8 years ago. Not sure how I got to where I am now (not entirely true of course) Have lost 34 lbs in the past 10 weeks. Have a heckuva long way to go but would like to keep up the momentum and not get discouraged by how long it will take!

  • I too get discouraged because it's very hard for me to lose weight. I'm very active so it seems to be even harder to make that scale budge! I've been on MFP for less than a month and have enjoyed the support. I also like the accountability when I see that I've come in under my calorie count.

Think of how long it took to get to where you are now! How many days on the couch? How many cheeseburgers and fries? Give yourself a break! It will take awhile to "right the ship" but you are definitely worth the effort are you not! We are here to help! Now believe in yourself and get at it! You got this.
