what does "calories earned for exercising mean"

So I just recently started using the exercise log,and when I finish my food journal it say I have calories "earned".Am i supposed to eat extra calories that are earned?I know it's stupid but i'm confused

yes you need to eat those calories. Your MFP calorie goal is what you eat if you aren't exercising. If you exercise then you need more calories to fuel your body. Your net calories at the end of the day should be close to the same as your goal.0
