Hi, im fairly new to this website and counting calories..:ohwell:
Im 23 5'2 and after giving birth 9 months ago im now 126lbs, before pregnancy i was 120lbs
At 38 weeks pregnant i was around 150lbs and a week after giving birth i was at 120lbs, but then went up to 126lbs which is where i have remained for the last 7 months!
My diet isnt fantastic and me and my partner ust to eat alot of rubbish and sweets.
The last couple of months or so i have increased exercise and cut out some of the rubbish, i know from looking at a picture of my body a week after birth that i look better now - stomach is smaller and i think my arms are more muscler (from picking up baby, car seat etc)
So why do i weigh more? I have read maybe i should be eating more but i struggle to eat the right things, food doesnt bother me and i find it alot of effort to think of meal plans, since my daughter has started eating i have started eating breakfast everyday which i never ust to also having lunch and tea, trying to eat more healthy just cant understand why i cant loose any weight!
Also i think my belly looks okay when im standing (just a little wider than id like to be) but when i sit down i feel it buldges and looks horrid
Sorry if this is a total rant and doesnt make much sense but would like some advice... and other mommys out there??x
Oh this website says if i want to loose half a lb a week i need to eat 1350calories and do 3 30 min exercise a week.
If i wanted to loose a lb a week i need to eat 1200calories, i just couldnt stick to that - well prob could if i cut out the rubbish

At 126lbs I would be concentrating on toning and not loosing weight. I would set MFP to 1/2 lbs and enjoy the 1350 cals at a min. Get some light weights and a dvd or try Pilates. Add a little bit of cardio if you are really determined to lose the 6lbs but I think 126lbs is a healthy weight. If you are eating 1350 make sure to eat back any calories from your exercise for energy for the body.0

Thank you for your reply =]
Im not desperate to loose weight, your right i should probably tone, would like my belly to not be as flabby and my hips to be smaller though.
I think its just i dont seem to have changed in 7 months, i should just stop weighing myself and get toning =] x0 -
After I had my baby I got really serious about Pilates. When it is done correctly you'll notices a huge change in your body. I put on 4 stone and lost it all and I'm smaller now and more toned that I was before my baby. The tummy is the hardest thing to work on and you can't just focus on that so you'll need a bit of cardio too. Try Jillian Michaels dvd, anyone of them! They are super for toning.0

Regarding your hips, understand that with pregnancy, the bones of your pelvis will have "opened up" in preparation for a natural delivery (whether you had one or not). Your pelvis stays a different shape indefinitely so even if you were the same prepregnancy weight you might still find your hips a little bigger than before.0
