Falafel Patty Question?

I had a long discussion about how many calories a Falafel patty was yesterday and with much research, I found that it could be as much as 250 calories and as low as 57 calories...Does anyone know really how many calories it really is? Just a patty not the whole sandwich...TIA

    It is too dependent on size, as I have seen huge and small falafels. I usually scan through the database and take what seems to be the average calorie count. 57 calories is WAAAAY too low...let's be honest, falafel is deep fried. No way it is only 57 calories.

    Probably those low 57 calorie ones are from light baked recipes. Cooking LIght has a really great one that I have made before.

    nice topic i want to try backing them instead of deep frying felafel.

    I think 60 calories is within the realm of possibility for a small patty. A donut hole is also deep-fried, and 60 calories. I usually count restaurant falafel at 75 calories each FWIW.
