LOL ok so first off...I am not a person to freak out or be all worried this is strictly for amusement purposes and no mater what you say I will not be all like "omg i am going to die!".
I have lost 50 lbs rather quickly, but since I lost it, all other weight loss has stopped. I have tried upping calories, lowering them, eating cleaner, lifting more weights, exercising more, and less...and nothing has budged...i gain the same 5 lbs then lose it...over and over. My hair is starting to break off and become very brittle, the same with my nails. I am tired all the damn time, feel no depresses but just BLAH all the damn time, No energy, I used to never be effected by cold like seriously no effect...I could go out shoe less in snow and i would be ok...now my toes and fingers will be like ice if i go out side when its below 70 degrees. and stay that way allllll day. I am only going to the bathroom about once a week if you know what i mean...lol. I am getting headaches about 2-3 times a week...which is super unusual for me..never used to get them at all. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. And I don't mean like under calorie hungry I mean no matter what amount of food or what it is my body does not feel full. Its like when you smoke pot (i dont but i did in high school) and you get the munchies...its like my brain isnt getting the full signal. And my memory is getting horrid...just simple day to day things i am having a hard time keeping straight. Oh and DRY DRY SKIN...which I have always had...but omg is it getting worse.
Ok so these are the main things that consern me. And yes I AM GOING TO THE DOCTOR...lol. My appt. is for the 17th...it's the soonest they could get me in. But I just wanted to see what all the online doctors thoughts where...lol :laugh:

Are you getting enough iron?
Here are some symptoms of iron deficiency that seem to match what you are experiencing.
Brittle hair and brittle nails
Fatigue
Tiredness
Lack of energy
Lack of concentration and confusion
Inability to think properly
Impaired neurological development
Poor academic performance
Pale lips, pale and brittle nails and pale skin
Cold extremities is common in women and can mean a low red cell count. Iron deficiency is also extremely common in women.
My boyfriend is an md and told me this yesterday.

I keep it between 1200 and 1400 as much as possible i mean of course I have bad days where I barely hit 1200 or I go just above but I try to keep it in between. and that for 3 months now....before that i stuck to the 1200 mfp set me at...but that's when I got so stuck. This started about 5 months ago also in case that needs to be known. i also walk about 5 miles at least 3 days a week, and exercise at least 30 minutes a day with the dogs, kids, elliptical..also lift weights (6lbs) and squats, lunges, reverse site ups every other day. and Iron has always been good. I donate blood so it is tested every time there and they always say its in a great range...what ever that means.0

Getting your blood work done will help. See if you doctor will write you a script for your bloodwork to be drawn and that way it will be ready for your appointment to review.
All of which will rule out iron deficiency anemia, thyroid, PCOS/issue with fats. Once thing it wont do is rule out Type 1 diabetes unless your glucose is really high.
Weight loss can sometimes cause our bodies to be out of wack, organs shift, processing better and hormones. Its good regardless of your health to get a physical once a year which includes bloodwork.

The only thing I drink is water. And I drink 4 to 5 28oz. containers a day...i just take it every where. My appointment is the 17th.0 -
You definately needs labs drawn. It very well could be low iron or vit b12 def. How fast did it tske you to lose 50 lbs?? How long has it been since you were at the MDs last. I am an RN and I am very concerned about you!!!0

First off thank you for being concerned and just so you know I plan on being an *kitten* to my dr. until they listen and figure this out...lol. Ok I started losing the weight as of august 2nd ...which was also the last dr. appointment I had. I had it all off my the end of November...thanksgiving time...i gained 8 back over the holidays but lost it right away again so....i guess 4 months still if you don't add in my gain..it took me 2 weeks to get the 8 back off, i thought that was quick but?? And I can say my weight loss started then because that's the day i decided to start.0 -

How do you know your iron (and b12) levels are good? Are you taking a daily multivitamin with iron in it (some leave it out because it can cause stomach aches and stuff)? If not, I would suggest going out and buying some and seeing if your symptoms start to fade away after a couple days.0

Yeah they said i was just over a point low on my potassium but that all my other levels were wonderful...just my thyroid...damn thyroid! lol oh well now i know now they can fix me! lol0 -
