I'm 28 and until now I have felt very lucky to have the metabolism that I did! I never believed that I would gain weight and thought that I would be forever thin. My mom tried to tell me years back that the fast food would soon catch up to me. Of course I didn't believe her. Now, I have to say, moms know best. For years I have lived the "drive thru" life for every meal (and I mean EVERY meal)!
This is a start to a new beginning for me, and though it will be hard, I want to change for the better!!

Hello! I am only 5 days old here at MFP and I am so excited about this web site. It will empower you to succeed if you let it. Welcome. Sorry to hear about you hitting the metabolism "fact of life." Sucks, doesn't it? I'm 47 and when it kicked me in the butt, I was too stubborn to admit it. So, the fact that you are already meeting it head on is a very good thing!

Hi! Welcome and best of luck!!

A lifestyle change is very possible. Just focus on making small changes and ease into it. By jumping in head first and expecting so much of yourself, you will only burn yourself out faster. This is a process but you can do it!
