should I up my calorie intake?

Hi so I set my goal to 1200 and it's been fine, I have been under everyday and I haven't felt deprived, but my BMR is a little over 1400. I have heard that people who set their calorie intake to their BMR are losing weight faster, but I'm not sure what the best thing for me is.

1200 is a generally accepted "minimum". For most of us, that is just a baseline of what your body needs to just sustain. Eating less can cause your body to latch onto the little it gets (starvation mode). If you're working out at all you should eat at least your 1200. Even if you aren't hungry.0

So for my net calories the minimum is 1200? For my net I'm usually a good amount under that... :indifferent:0

Bump... Exact same boat... I just don't net 1200 when I exercise because I think MFP overestimates calories burned so I only eat back 50- 75% of them0

Yeahp. I struggle sometimes too, but I'm really trying to bring up my net calories up to at least 1,300. Just try bringing it up one step at a time, not in a huge chunk, I think this will give you more time to adjust to the added calories. And over time, you may increase it, bit by bit.0 -
You really should never eat under your BMR.
BUT, you should at least NET 1200 calories a day0 -

Does it matter about marco's when adding in calories to eat enough? I chose nuts as they are easy to add in but it makes my fat go higher?
