can using weights cause bruises on arms?

iv recently started using 5kg weights on my arms to get rid of the bingo wings. Iv been using them a week now and im sure i keep getting bruises after? I only do 20reps each time on each arm repeated 3 times once a day takes me 10mins a day. I upped the weight this week before i was using 3kg weights. Can this cause bruises has the ones iv got are on my muscles?

Bruising doesn't sound normal, are you taking blood thinners?
You should also take a day off between workouts to allow for recovery, strength workouts cause a slight amount of damage to the muscle tissue (microtears) and the recovery day is when the muscle actually gets stronger as it repairs itself.0
