Hi,
This site has helped to keep me motivated. I am doing pretty well this week, but I am worried about the weekend.. especially when I come to adult beverages. Does anyone have some fabulous ideas? Please don't say give them up completely!

When I feel like a beer I choose low carb light beer, such as "pure blonde" for example,
and I drink bloody Mary's which Vodka with Tomatoe Juice, or I have sugar free red bul in my vodka.
and I limit my self to only a couple of drinks once a week0 -
Best you can do is stay off the beer, cider and wine and have your spirits with diet mixer. The sensible thing to say would be everything in moderation lol. Cheers and good luck0

Choose lower calorie libations, log them and fit them into your calories (exercise more, etc.). I drink every weekend - vodka, Sprite Zero and a splash of Diet Oceanspray - about 75 calories each. Good luck! :drinker:0

When it's adult beverage time for me, I've turned down the MANY beers for a few gin & tonics (diet tonic when available). Sometimes I'll order just a tonic with lime in between the "real" ones. Almost the same flavor without the extra alcohol calories. I've actually found myself drinking less the more I concentrate on losing weight. It's not a conscience choice, just happens to go that way!0

Stay away from high carb drinks like wine or jager and stick with vodka or rum0

I had also budget extra exercise when I want those beers, and I totally agree with the Diet Tonic and Gin, only about 75 calories so I can have two and not do much damage. Good Luck . . . you can do it!0

You may want to alternate, for every alcoholic beverage you consume you should have a glass of water in between.0

If like me, you find one drink leads inexorably to another.... why not try diet tonic with angostura bitters? The bitters make the drink a pretty pink colour and the strong 'bitter' taste is very grown up! Whoops just realised I haven't been logging these (pause to look up calories) phew! just 25 calories per tablespoon and I reckon I use about 1/6th of a tablespoon per drink.0

I am allergic to beer so I have had to turn to mixed drinks since college. I order a vodka water then add diet crystal light to the drink. They have many flavors and are low in calories and sugar. (Only use half a travel stick otherwise it makes the drink way to strong).
Good luck0
