Sure, sure. There are all kinds of worthwhile health benefits to losing weight and getting fit. It's great to be able to climb four flights of stairs and not be clutching at my chest.
Fine ;-) That's all very well and good, but hearing compliments on your appearance is a whole different kind of motivator, and I've noticed that the nature of the remarks evolve as you proceed through your journey.
I started hearing "You look great" at around 30-40 lbs lost. Later a few "You look fantastic"s went into the mix. But just lately at the 60-70lbs lost stage I've heard "You look amazing" a few times, and I gotta tell you, that feels wonderful.
