My brain still sees my body with all its former hang-ups!

I’m a cyclist, I’ve always had chunky, muscular legs. Usually, all that awesome power is hidden under and huge layer of fat. I used to describe them a teddy bear legs…..Short, chubby and the same shape from thigh to ankle!

Now that I have lost some weight and discovered knees, have some definition and shape, I’m beginning to quite like them! I even got a lovely compliment about them from a very slim fit looking lady in the gym, after my spinning class yesterday. I’ve never had a compliment about my legs before and was quite taken aback!

I was just wondering if anyone else used to hate a body part and as they’ve lost weight/changed shape/become lean/is getting cut is now learning to like it or even love it?

If so, what part of your body that you formally didn’t appreciate, do you now like?
Is anyone else experienced finding the physical and mental adjustment to your new body shape, out of sync?
