i have a question

do you think 50lbs lost in 3 months is a healthy sustainable weight loss? I have not done this because i don't feel like it is healthy. it has taken me 11 months to lose 70lbs and everytime i post something on facebook this girl has to one up on me and yesterday she posted about how she lost 50lbs in 3 months. i'm not jealous or anything so DONT get the wrong idea...i want to say something like "thats not healthy" but i dont know how to word it without sounding like an a**...so opinions???

My cousin is like that. She is doing the PINK method and losing very fast like that. I try not to let it get to me either way. I just congratulate her. When she tries to sell me on the PINK method I just remind her that I like food so I cant stick to a plan like that and I am ok with my slow weight loss.

No, not healthy or sustainable. But I wouldn't say a word. Everyone thinks their way is the BEST way, or they wouldn't be doing it. She'll find out the hard way.

Just congratulate her on her loss and wish her luck in keeping it off. Anything else will be misconstrued.

I don't think it's healthy or sustainable either. And like the other posters have said.... I really wouldn't say anything to her other than congratulate her.... and move on.

Yup. Depending on her starting stats and her current diet methods, she may or may not be losing in a healthy way. But you assuming that it's not healthy and telling her so will likely come across as jealousy.

I did it once too (50 lbs in 3 months). I didn't keep it off, but I don't think it was because of losing so fast, I think it was because of a food allergy I didn't know I had. It's a bit faster than recommended, but not horrendously bad. She may still lose her gall baldder if its true!

Say congrats and move on! Don't fall prey to the 1-upmanship!
