Binge? Where did that come from?

So I binged tonight for the first time in months, and I'm feeling pretty terrible.
It came out of no where, and I don't know why I let it happen!
I feel bloated and awful, and I can't sleep.
Ick.
Does this ever happen to anyone else?
I think I ate too little today and it just caught up with me.

    it happenes to everyone at one time or another, I can't believe that you haven't binged in months. I do it at least once a month. you know TOM can be a real will power killer.
    just relax and take a tums and start new tomorrow. you'll be more motivated to work out tomorrow.

    One binge isn't gonna hurt ya too bad :) Just learn from it and move on, tomorrow's a new day! Sounds like you've been doing really well, so just keep up the good work and focus on what you've accomplished rather than your oopsie.

    OMG I totally know how you fell, I binge this past friday on Papa Johns, I felt bad , But hey i havent did it in months either...But Im so over it , ysd is dead and gone

    Thanks, you guys! I'm just nervous because I used to struggle with it on a weekly basis, and I've been doing so well lately. I just know how easy it is to start a cycle of unhealthy habits, and I don't want that for my life any more!
    It's very strange how that time of month brings out crazy cravings for ice cream and bread and carbs!

    I'M VERY INTERESTED IN BINGE EATING OR ANOTHER TERM FOR IT, CHAIN EATING. WE START WITH EATING A "BAD" FOOD (SOMETHING HIGH CALORIE,NOT ON OUR PLAN) AND WE LET IT GO INTO A TOTAL EATING FRENZY. IT IS CALLED THE I BLEW IT SYNDROME. WE FIGURE WE ATE SOMETHING WE SHOULD NOT HAVE EATEN SO WE BLEW THE WHOLE DAY, WEEKEND OR WEEK. SOMETIMES THEY LAST FOR QUITE AWHILE. I USED TO BINGE OFTEN BUT NOW AFTER LOSING CLOSE TO 100LBS I HAVE PRETTY MUCH LEARNED HOW TO CONTROL IT. I DON'T SAY I BLEW IT ANY MORE,I SAY STOP AND STOP RIGHT NOW. IT IS NOT EASY, BUT WITH PRACTICE THAT BAD HABIT CAN BE BROKEN. FOR SOME REASON, AFTER WE EAT THAT BAD FOOD, WE TRY TO "GET IT ALL IN" (EAT AS MUCH AS WE CAN) BEFORE WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO OUR HEALTHY EATING PLAN.
    WE ACT LIKE THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FOOD THE NEXT DAY. DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU. TAKE YOURSELF AWAY FROM THE FOOD. GO TAKE A WALK, SHOWER, ANYTHING. CRAVINGS DO PASS. GOOD LUCK NEXT TIME,AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME. AS THE OTHER PEOPLE HERE HAVE SAID, WE ALL DO IT AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. IT IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH IT AND HOW FAST YOU PUT A STOP TO IT THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUCCESS AT KEEPING WEIGHT OFF OR FAILURE.

    Step away from the food!
    I read a diet book one time that said that particular food is NOT leaving the planet, so it isn't crucial that you devour it right now. It's ok to save it for a special treat or an occasion. Putting it off or saving it for later sometimes helps stop the binging.
