Good morning, pebbles! I am up early to see my parents off. We had a really nice visit, although I'm afraid I did a little damage - ice cream twice (kiddie size, though), 2 glasses wine one night, 2 margaritas another night. :embarassed: It looks like I'm up 3 pounds but I'm not going to count it unless it stays around for another week. I did at least play tennis on Sunday and go for a long walk outside on Monday. We're down to less than a week on this challenge, and until my birthday!

My run is on Thursday. I'll be heading to the gym tonight, but I think I'll stick with elliptical until race day. It's also time to do pushups again.

Short week boogaloo (for us statesiders)! :flowerforyou:

Good luck on the run - Thursday seems an odd day for a run?

Didn't bike to yoga, since husband is fair skinned and had enough for one day - after we went to the store. I walked as well.

I plan on doing the walk/jog thing today. Also to go to a free yoga class. Gotta love free.

A month from today, I'll be in California. Love counting down to vacation.

    Free classes boogaloo!

Hi pebbs. . .Yes Thursday is a weird day for a run. Interesting. . .

Also, Mary, I know just what your husband means as a fair skinned individual. I'm actually considering using an umbrella on sunny days. (I see people doing it all the time, actually. . .but I'm not quite sure I'm ready for an affectation like that. I already have this huge sun hat I wear on walks in the summer.)

Today is my noon bikram class. Then, I have to do a little housecleaning sometime today. (it's a little yucky in here lately. . .my house hasn't quite recovered from my illness yet. . . .as I was too fatigued to do my normal minimal cleaning and my husband isn't quite the tidiest of people.)

Also, I have to put in an hour on my academic project. That also didn't get done while I was ill, so my other goal is to not get hung up on how "behind" I am, which is really hard for me.

    Lots to do boogaloo,

    Take care of yourselves.:flowerforyou:

    Good morning!
Ah, fair skin. Gotta love it! Lots of sunscreen around here!

I have blisters on my feet from walking yesterday (maybe not full blisters but soreness), but I may still try to get a walk in. Maybe some taebo too depending on how far I walk. I also have sit ups, push ups and squats to do. And house cleaning...hmm. Hope I can move when it's all said and done!
We went to a friend's house yesterday and had some good eatin's so I have to work it off today. I didn't eat as much as I could have but ate more than I should. I'm glad I got that walk in!
Walkin' boogaloo! (boogaloo is just funny)

Yeah, it is a little weird - it's the Chase Corporate Challenge, so everybody is coming to it after work (start time is 7PM). It's a little bit of an ordeal... last year, there were over 11,000 participants (runners and walkers), although it looks like less than 10,000 registered this year. :noway: I'm sure it will still be a madhouse... I was in the walker group last year, and it took me about 15 minutes just to cross over the starting line! I'm going to run the whole thing this year, although I'm not worrying about my pace too much - we'll be dodging everybody else, and I'll stick with my husband at whatever speed he wants to go. I have done the distance (3.5 miles) on the treadmill in 35 minutes, so I figure if I get under 45 minutes at the race that will be pretty good. Last year it took me an hour to walk (although I ran the last half-mile or so), just because I started so far back and was dodging other groups.

I'm in the fair skinned club, too - I mostly get by with lots of sunscreen if I'm going to be out. I try to remember to wear it everyday on my face at least, but I don't love the way it feels on my skin. Where in CA are you going, Mary?

I am not going to be able to get everything done that I had planned. My feet hurt. :grumble: But I have lost half an inch off my waist and I was very excited to feel my buns are firmer! I don't usually go around feeling my rear. Strangely enough I think I can tell my shoulders are smaller too.
Alex is going to start taking swimming classes for kids with Autism..hopefully on Saturday. I'll have to get in the water with him, so that's motivation to get skinny. lol. We are also probably going to end up putting him back on his meds for awhile. I told DH to let me try harder at the therapies this week before we do it, just to see if we can get by without them. I feel like we are taking a step back if we have to give him the meds again. :ohwell:
Hope everyone's having a great day!
