Get Over It

Have you experience the same obstacles that keeps us away from staying focused on our weight goal lost? I have noticed that I try each week to hit the most important steps to helping me make my goals work. I write down: 1. drink my water daily; 2. exercise; 3. eat healthy and 4. Stay positive and motivated. Well I have been on a cycle of weight loss then weight gain, usually around the holidays and special events. I feel guilty when the weight goes back up. Which is why I put in my subject line : "Get Over It". I am not going to avoid the holidays or special events in my life and have a negative attached to it. I need to get over that! I really enjoy my special time with family and friends and will make a positive statement that "I will enjoy this time and focus on the relationship of the people I have in my life as the priority". If food is around, well I have to train my portions to be small or choose the right foods that will help me maintain. If i gain a pound, I will tell myself, "Get over it" and move to remembering the positive events in my life. Please don't understand, I take full accountability for my actions, I just know that I am not perfect and something things happen. It is not the end of my life, just a little road block that can be corrected.
I have also found that doing the same thing day in and day out needs a mix up too, exercise can be fun when it something I enjoy doing. So for today, I choose to make my life a bit easier and with courage and convictions move forward to what is ahead, a life worth living in peace and happiness. Ciao
