48 Hour after workout Aches

I just wanted to understand and if its common, for people to be sore 48hours after a workout, instead of the day after like most?
I noticed the more I workout the longer it takes to get the soreness to feel it, but when I do feel it in 48hours I REALLY FEEL IT. Its a delayed response it seems.
Thanks for your time

it's called delayed onset muscle soreness.
very common.
try contrast showers, rest, and stretching. all work well.0 -
It's common! My BF says that sometimes he hurts worse the 2nd day than he did the 1st day after a good workout. I don't have that as often, but I rarely pay attention either. I workout every day, regardless of soreness. My soreness dictates intensity not rest days. LOL. If I need a rest day, my body will tell me!0

This is me. I found creatine seems to help. Stretching after a work out and when sore seem to help too.0 -

I've got a upper body workout tonight and a lower body tomorrow. soo this weekend I will probably look like I need a wheel chair. But, I love it. Nothing like knowing you gave it everything you got into your workout.0
