Meal Ideas For The Non-Stop Person

I have decided to go back to school to finish my Bachelor Degree.
In the fall my schedule will look like this:
8am-5pm Work
6pm-10pm Class
I need some ideas for dinner. I do not have time to stop at home, so that is not an option. Eating at 10pm just doesn't seem like the best idea - either, as I need to workout in there somewhere.
Students, young and older, or just busy people - What would you recommend?

yay for you!!!
Maybe look into doing some bulk cooking on weekends. One thing I do is prepare chicken or steak in larger batches so I have enough to use for a few days. You can throw a chicken breast in a lunch bag with any number of things to make a good snack.
Yogurt and protein bars are, of course, handy and very portable. I have an occasional night job and I've started buying snack sized hummus containers and keep a bag of pretzels handy.....a serving of pretzels is about 120 calories.
What are your food options on campus? Jamba Juice has some great new all fruit smoothies that are around 300 calories, and Starbucks has a yogurt and fruit cup that is good (about 250 cals) and a couple food trays (the protein one is pretty decent).
Oh, and sometimes when I'm on the run and don't have time to stop and eat, I grab and Odwalla Protein Monster smoothie........about 240 cals and they fill me up for a long time.0 -
I recommend:
* PLAN!! Make a menu plan and make everything on your day(s) off.
* Use your crockpot
* Find a microwave you can use
* Invest in a good lunch bag, thermos, and pyrex
As far as food goes, just pack everything the night before, or better yet divide/pack everything for the week into containers and keep them in the fridge, you can grab-and-go in the morning. Soups, wraps, veggies + dip, fruit...all good stuff!
Good luck!!0 -
Thank you both for your answers!0
