Sedentary Debate

So the question has come up and though it really is not all that important I am not going to be able to let it go until I know for sure. Right now my activity level is set at sedentary. I am unemployed currently but I do go to clean the house and do little things like that everyday. I also workout 6 days a week for at least an hour, often times more. Usually I run 5-7 miles one day and lift weights for an hour the next along with a short walk or jog. So the question is...is sedentary the right option for me? I thought so because it feels like double dipping if I list it as anything higher...but the calorie issue might be why I am not losing weight. Hmm.

You'd be suprised how little sedentary is. Basically, on here, it's calculated as sitting in a chair for 16 hours a day then sleeping for 8. Once you start doing more than that, you move into the lightly active category.

I was just reading an article on calorie counting and it put it a better way - Very Sedentary, Modarately Sedentary, Moderately Active, Very Active.

Obviously, from those four, you'd pick the 2nd option. On here you should do the same.

As an aside, do you log & eat your exercise calories currently? If not, that may be where you are fallling down. Not fuelling your workouts will slow down your weightloss.
