Question for those who watch protein vs carbs

Do you work this out as a grams amount per day. If so, presumably it varies depending on the amount of food you eat, or is it more important to balance protein against carbs as a percentage amount? Does that make sense?

    Just to the percentage amount, much easier and you get to see how many grams your percentage gives you any case.

    I have mine set to 40/30/30 but find myself usually only hitting about 35% on carbs with the other two still pretty evenly split. I try to get the carbs higher for pre-long run days and long run days, but the most I've been able to get my carbs up is about 42% so far. >.<

    But I just use the percentages and let the app adjust my grams based on workout calories and all that. :)
