I am interested in this too. Breakfast gets a little boring for me.....

My favorite low carb/high protein breakfasts are

egg whites w/ turkey sausage links
    greek yogurt
hardboiled eggs and lunch meat (turkey)

    after that, I'm lost

  • Have a breakfast sandwich. Have a toasted sandwich thin with 3 turkey sausage patties and a slice of WW american cheese. High protein (19g), filling, low cal (270 cal), and yummy too!! If you want butter on it then get the spray butter because there isnt any calories, fat, or anything in it.

I typically eat in my car on the way to work because I have to wait an hour after my AM medication to eat so my breakfast is always portable.

I eat a ton of wraps. Mission Low Carb tortillas are the best low carb tortillas I've ever had, they come in wheat and flour. I usually have the tortilla stuffed with a protein, usually a vegetarian sausage, tempeh or scrabmled tofu, then I use a variety of things like Tofutti (soy based cream cheese replacer), Toby's Jalapeno Spread (tofu based), Veganaise and hot sauce. Not too exciting but it works for me.

On the weekends I usually make little pancakes with a fruit compote topping or a tofu scramble.
  • Depending on how many calories you have stick in some fruit greek yogurt on the side. That's pretty good too.

Why don't you eat what you want at that point in time? I've never understood how people say there are "breakfast foods." For a time, to simply make a point, I ate "dinner foods" in the morning and "breakfast foods" at night. Dinner for me and the girlfriend? Tiramisu pancakes or a bacon and egg sandwich. Breakfast? Tacos al pastor or risotto.

It sounds weird at first. People thought I was nuts.
    "Risotto for breakfast!?!?"
    "Why not?" I say.

Obviously you want a low carb option but this was merely an example. :p Also, where's the red meat? That helps diversify the morning.

What kind of red meats are you eating in the morning?

If I could afford it, I'd eat steak all the time. :p Obviously steak and eggs is a classic breakfast dish in North America.

I'm particularly fond of ground beef mixed with eggs and finished off with lemon. It's something that's actually ate in my hometown (Sulaymaniyah, Iraq) quite often (but not with ground beef but this thing called basturma) and it's something I grew up with. The acidity of the lemon cuts through the fattiness of the ground beef and eggs quite well. It's a strangely cohesive dish.

Or you can have corned beef hash. Friggin' love it, though it's not particularly low carb.

The sky's the limit. You aren't forced to eat "breakfast foods." Just pick something that you will enjoy.
