Ladies- What's The Most Supportive Sports Bra??

I'm starting Turbofire next week (I'm excited and scared all at the same time.) I'm semi-large chested (36 DD) and need to know what sports bra gives really, really good support. There's a ton of jumping around in Turbofire and I need to make sure these puppies are under control. Thanks!!

There just was a thread with a bunch of suggestions yesterday... If you search it or go a few pages in, you should still be able to find it

I wear the shock absorber bra from fig leaves. I can only find a couple of sports bras in my size, but this one works very well. It is super ugly, but it keeps them on lock down and it absorbs the sweat too. Joy.

I wear a 38-40DDD depending on the bra :) and use a champion sports bra (pull over type) then wear (only cause i am working out at home) a sports tank a size smaller then i need so a xl when i should prob wear an xxl - the type with a shelf bra in it and my boobs dont move - whether I am running, jumping etc.... I am too cheap to spend over $50 on a bra that i inted to outgrow so i got my tanks and bras at Kohls on clearence :)

I wear all time, every day, even at night, Rhonda Sheer's Ahhhh Bra's. You buy them in sets of 3 or 4. You choose the level of support you want. I like a lot so I wear 3 of them at once. They are comfortable and I get mine off eBay for $29.99 for 3 with free shipping. They are machine and dryer safe. The sizing is based on your shirt size and not an actual bra size.

Elomi Energise. Available at Nordstrom. Goes up to H cup. Very supportive. Industrial strength fabric, 4 hooks. Around $65. I love it. I bought mine in Dallas, although the store didn't have one in stock, they had one shipped from Las Vegas (land of plastic surgery?) Can also be purchased online. Terrific fit. NO jiggle.

My fiance' wears under armour... The don't move!! lol.. They do run small in the size though. She is a C and has to wear a large @ 5'2" 115 lbs. You can get some great deals on them on e bay!
  • I'm a big fan of the Moving Comfort Juno bra. It's a bit hard to get on but once it is on, those puppies aren't going ANYWHERE!

I am a 30 (32 in sports bras) GG. For most activities I wear a freya active bra, but for running and jumping around I wear a shock absorber level 4. NOT pretty at all, but it works, I look like a C cup in it lol.

I'm another fan of the Shock Absorber. I use mine in the level 4 of compression and it completely prevents jiggling. It easily comes in a 34D (I can get it in a 32FF!). I can run in it, do cardio dance, and anything else in it. It's a bit snug, but it's well worth it.
  • I'm loving the Danskin NOW zip front racerback from Walmart, it was inexpensive and has moulded cups so I don't look like a pancake - easy to get in and out of and controls bounce great.

i have a Feya brand one that is incredible. Expensive, but totally worth it. I think they make up to size H, so they'd have one that would fit you and they specialise in bigger sizes with more support.

I just bought a bra from the champion/bali outlet it was $36, I have a 38dd chest and this holds the girls in so well. It hooks in the back like a normal bra and has a padded underwire in it as well. I had the pull over kind and it started to hurt my shoulders while running (i've never had back problems before). I bought a white and black one and will be going back for more!

Check out the high-impact bras from Athleta. The ones I wear are no longer sold, but they have a great selection - $30-$70, free shipping on orders over $50, and you can return/exchange anytime for any reason (even after trying for a workout). http://athleta.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=46915

I'm a 40 F and have just bought an Under armour sports bra for high impact. So far so good with Turbo jam.
  • I bought this cheap one from Target that pretty much goes up to my collarbone, and it holds those suckers down! They don't move at all when I'm wearing it. I like the ones that pull over AND have clasps in the back.

I am very large chested (36G) and a runner. I have been wearing Glamorsize bras for a year or so and I'm pretty happy with them. BUT, I just ordered the Shock Absorber D+ bra from Panache.com. Runners World magazine rated it very high for large breasted women (runners). I haven't received it yet, but am very excited to try it out.

Oh my gosh! I just got an Underarmour one and it is amazing!! Your boobs don't move and you don't get the dread Uniboob that other bras give you. It gives you a nice form and you definitely have two boobs!

  • I'm a 34 GG and use the Panache: Maximum Control Ultimate Underwire Sports Bra, it's 68 and worth every penny!

I have this one and another without the zipper and they are both great! I usually have to wear two if I don't wear my under armour bra.

I'm very, very heavily endowed & have tried mostly every sports bra on the market. After a trip to a specialty running store and found the Enell sports bra....it's absolutely fabulous!! At my size, the bounce is almost nonexistence!! They're about $70 a piece, but well worth the price.

I wear a champion bra. But i get a size smaller than I really need so they don't move much. I'm not huge though, only a 34C.

Oddly enough, I've read countless times that it is okay if the girls move a little when you run and exercise because it helps build the muscles under your breasts. Which, in turn, keeps them perkier over time.
