Magic Bullet?

I need a new blender & am considering getting the Magic Bullet. It seems as though some people love it and some say that they're cheap and easily breaks down? Any thoughts/recommendations?

I cook a lot and recently got into making protein shakes. Really love a solid blender:) Thanks! :smile:

    I've got one and it works well for quick protein shakes.. I don't really try anything else with it. I prefer my standard glass jar blender, and I also have a Bamix.. that sucker was over $200, but has a 10 year guarantee and will puree anything! I'm going on year #11 and it's still whirring away...

    Hi, I have a magic bullet and I use it for everything. Whips cream fast, shakes is awesome, cutting things up etc. Just love mine and best thing is doesn't take up much room :)

    It works good for a short while and then goes to crap...

    I went through 2 of them. My 17 dollar blender lasted longer than both of these.

    It works good for shakes, but anything else is pretty iffy. i make guacamole in mine sometimes, but the cups has to be full to work. There are small personal sized blenders at Wal Mart and probably elsewhere that work just as well, and don't cost as much.

    I like the ninja better. The motor is stronger than the bullet, and it has many good reviews.

    I thought I'd buy mine at Costco since I can always take it back when it breaks....but sounds like it all falls apart!

    my experience with the magic bullet is it's crap. it works ok a handful of times and then dies.

    I clicked on this topic thinking the magic bullet was not a blender... oops, lol. But it just so happens I do need a blender :drinker:

    Mine was given to me, and didn't stand up at all. I've still got it somewhere, and it can tackle tiny jobs (like chopping a handful of nuts or something), but it's just not worth getting out at this point.

    Disclaimer: I'm the girl who catches blender and mixer motors on fire because of overuse/abuse.

    it's pretty much good for blended drinks and that's about it. i got one for my birthday a few years ago. i use it solely for margaritas. LOL!

    I have one I originally bought about 4 years ago to make baby food with. It's fantastic and still going strong. I use it mostly for frozen coffees and smoothies now.

    EDIT: I bought it on Amazon, and I remember reading a warning disclaimer in the reviews somewhere on Amazon that there were "fake" magic bullets of dubious quality out there, so to make sure that you get the real deal.

    I don't really know how to ensure you're getting a legit MB online, but i guess I got one, bc it's still going strong.

    It's great, had one for nearly 5 years. Sadly it's not working now and I miss it so much!

    The only thing I use mine for is ice caps, other than that it's not very good. Just my opinion. I think a real bullet will fix the magic part of it. I'll give it a shot:wink: later.

    OMG, I never thought about making frozen coffees in there. I might have to dig it out of the closet now, and save myself $3.95 every time I want one....

    I just got a Ninja 1,000 watt-er and I LOVE it.. . I did try to amputate my index finger drying off the blade stem before first use, but that sucker blasts ice cubes and whole frozen strawberries. . .liking it so far!!!

    Yes, girl, you must. Always make a big pot of hot coffee (sometimes double strength) and once cooled, store it in the fridge. I much prefer frozen coffees . . . .

    love the bullet, use it multiple times daily and never had a problem. We have had this one for about 2 years

    We have had our magic bullet for about 5 years, it is used frequently, never had a problem with it! We do have a 2nd one in the box for just in case! LOL Love it.

    I have an inexpensive, personal blender made by Hamilton Beach. It makes shakes, smoothies, etc in a detachable to-go travel cup!!! Just throw strawberries (freq use frozen), blueberries, ice, Greek yogurt, protein powder, almond milk, whatever in-blend & go! It only hangs up if I put too much ice in all at once in the bottom! Ultra convenient and under $30!!!!


    Did buy my best friend a Baby Bullet for her son and she loves it!

    Depends on how much cooking you do. I have a great food processor so I didn't need the food processor part.

    For ice you need to use the 4-pronged blade "x" shape. For meats or things that need to be shredded, use the straight, 2-pronged blade.
