Hi I am a newbie. I have a question. I noticed that when you exercise then the calories burned are added to your allowance. Do you use these extra ones or do you just keep to the calories allocated at the start?

Eat all, or at least most, of them. MFP calculates a deficit to begin with so you need to eat them to stay healthy.0

There is such a huge debate about that on this site... whew you probably just opened a can of worms and didn't even know it.
Here's the skinny, IMO:
MFP is already taking out calories to account for your weight loss goal... so if you eat your goal calories + exercise calories, in theory, you should lose weight.
If you don't eat your exercise calories back at all, you should consider that you may not be eating enough to support muscle re-building after exercise.
However, you may not need to eat them all back to get what you need.
You'll have to make the decision yourself. Personally, I try to eat back at least 2/3 of my exercise calories. Some days, if I've had a hard work out I eat them all back because I'm hungry.
Hope that helps and good luck with your goals!
Feel free to friend me if you're looking for pals.
